We recently got the Pepsi tin in as well as the small reproduction tins, I think they mix well with the vintage tins on the bottom. Hmmm, maybe I'll start collecting tins: ) I'm also working on a new Americana display that I'll be posting pics of later this week. We already have an Americana display but we got a few new things in so I decided to do another one.
I hope everyone is doing well this Wednesday afternoon. We've been busy here at the store even though it's been raining most of the day here in Fayetteville.
I've also been busy at home stitching, painting mache boxes and painting a doll cradle for my dogs. Yes, that's right, I did say doll cradle for my dogs. Come on I can't be the only one. Baby hasn't warmed up to it yet but Harley immediately crawled in and hid under the teastained pillow sham I put in there for them. Oh well, what can I say? Maybe they're a tad bit spoiled. So hopefully I'll have those pics uploaded to my blog this evening or tomorrow.
Till next time,
Kimberly: )
That's a great collection of tins. Now, where does one look for tallow berries?? I don't think I've ever seen them here in Maine but maybe I just don't know where to look.
ReplyDeleteI hope you post a picture of your sweet little dog in the cradle. Too cute!!
Blessings~ Birgit
Love the Pepsi tin and the Tallow berries. Does Sherrie have a blog or web site that she might sell them on??
ReplyDeleteWhat a small world! When my friend Ina lived in NC, I would visit your shop with her everytime I made the trip to NC. I was chatting online with Sherrie and she mentioned she went to a wonderful shop in Fayetteville. I emailed her back asking if it was Carolina Windows and decided to google it and found the website with the link to this blog.
ReplyDeleteWhen I visit my friend Jill in her new home in Columbia, SC, you can bet we will make the trip there!!
Sherrie sent me some tallowberries as well - they are wonderful!!
So glad I found you - I will become a follower!
Thanks Kimberly for the nice things you said about me and my tallow berries....sounds like you have stirred some new interest, so let these gals know they have to wait until Fall. I was looking at the 2 trees that produce the most berries as I worked in our yards yesterday. I can usually tell if I ham going to have a good crop by the new foliage, but this year is different....can't really tell. I will have to send you a pic of the tree.
ReplyDeleteEnjoyed our visit Saturday. It was kinda bittersweet...Ernie's stepfather passed away last week and we wanted to get his Mom out,so we decided to take her to visit some of our favorite shops and out to eat. She really enjoyed the trip and she commented on how nice and friendly you all were...thanks for making us feel so at home, especially during a difficult time!!
Keep stitchin' and crafting...love what you have done.Tell everyone hello!!
Hugs, Sherrie
